"What Is Your Source of Truth?"

A great conversation starter with an unbeliever is to ask one simple question, "What is your source of Truth?"

This question must be answered in order to explain the "why" of things like the Laws of Physics, human consciousness, reproduction, and the origin of the Universe. Without Scripture, the only answers to this question are unaccountable, unprovable hypotheses based on faith without hope.

This is why it's also very important to reinforce God as our Source of Truth whenever the Scriptures give opportunity (which is often). The New Testament acknowledges Jesus and His Spirit as Truth over 100 times.

Here are just a few of them:

"When He Who is the Spirit of Truth comes, He will lead you into all Truth."

~John 16:13

"For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
Who desires that all mankind should be saved and come to the acknowledgment of the Truth."

~1Timothy2:3-4

“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life."

~John 14:6

"The servant of the Lord must not strive, but must be gentle toward all, able to teach, forbearing; disciplining those who oppose with humility, in case God might give them repentance at any time so that they may acknowledge the Truth."

~2Timothy 2:24-25

“Sanctify them in Your Truth. Your word is Truth."

~John 17:17

"This is that Jesus Christ Who came by water and blood - not by water only, but by water and blood - and it is that Spirit that bears witness. For that Spirit is Truth."

~1John 5:6

Science interprets truth.
Philosophy distills truth.
Only Jesus Christ claims to be truth.

He is the answer to my questions.
